# Privilege 2: Contributor Committee

As mentioned previously, long term decisions affecting TLD are made by members through voting. A number of Contributor Committees exist to facilitate the voting process. For example, Committees screen proposals that are presented to the membership for voting. In the absence of quorum, Contributor Committees may make decisions on behalf of the entire membership.

Contributor Committees are made up of active TLD members who are voted in by other members according to governance bylaws.
