Participate in Governance
Membership Credits give members the right to governance in accordance with the existing bylaws of the tDAO. Members will have access to a private communication server where proposals can be made to change the operations of the tDAO by changing variables in the smart contracts or by upgrading the smart contract. Members will be able to interact with one another and to vote on these proposals.
This is a key distinction between tDAOs and the mutual insurance companies of today. While policyholders in a mutual insurance company have the right to vote, in practice, they have limited visibility into what is being voted on and are unable to organize as a voting bloc as they can’t communicate with the other policyholders.
