What’s the pre-join phase?

The pre-join phase lets you join The LifeDAO early by paying your membership and doing KYC before the official launch. You’ll get a 10% discount, but claims won’t start yet. Contributions are kept secure on the Arbitrum Mainnet.

What does 10% discount mean?

Say you want to become a TLD member with an annual contribution of 100 USDC. During the pre-join phase, you’ll save 10%, which means you only have to pay 90 USDC for this membership. But you have to hurry before it’s too late.

How can I become a pre-joiner?

You need to make your membership payment and complete KYC on The LifeDAO’s platform before the end of 2024. It’s all done on Arbitrum Mainnet, so your contribution is locked and ready for launch.

Why should I become a pre-joiner?

You’ll get a 10% discount on your membership and a chance to join a community-first insurance alternative fund from the start. Plus: During pre-join there are also exciting airdrop rewards waiting for you!

Are there any limits on the number of people who can join during pre-join?

Nope, there’s no limit to how many people can join during pre-join; though the 10% discount is given on a first come, first serve basis for the first joiners. So, grab your discount while it lasts!

Will I be covered in the pre-join phase?

Pre-join is your chance to become one of the first TLD members and that too at a discount. That being said, no, coverage starts after the official launch early next year. What that means is that if you were to pass away before the launch of the fund, your family will not receive a benefit payout.

When does the pre-launch discount end?

You can only get the 10% discount as an early pre-joiner on a first come, first serve basis. After that, you’ll still get a 5% discount until TLD launches. Either way, the max the pre-launch phase will last is until February 15, 2025.

When is the expected launch of The LifeDAO?

What happens if the fund doesn’t launch (on time)?

TLD can only launch when we have enough members. So, if we don’t hit our target by February 15, 2025, we will have to postpone the launch until we do. If for some unforeseeable reason we should not be able to launch at all, you can claim your membership contribution back.

How will I know the status of the TLD launch?

Don’t worry if there’s any delay happening, you’ll be the first to know! Just make sure you’re subscribed to our newsletter, join us on Discord or Telegram, and/or follow our socials and you’ll be up to date. Of course you can also head to thelifedao.io to check.

When does my membership start?

Your membership officially kicks in when TLD kicks off, i.e. when The LifeDAO launches on February 15, 2025 - that’s puts the ‘pre’ in pre-join.

Will my membership fees increase after the pre-join phase?

When you sign-up during pre-join, you make your membership contribution for the first year at a discount. The membership contribution for the second year will be at the normal price, without the discount.
