# The LifeDAO (TLD)

#### What is The LifeDAO?

The LifeDAO or TLD is a community-owned Nobank that gives members access to financial tools outside the traditional banking system.

With The LifeDAO, members can save, spend, grow, and protect their money using blockchain-based infrastructure while staying in control of their own funds. It is not a bank, does not hold your money for you, and does not charge interest.

The LifeDAO is built for people who want ethical, Shariah-compliant, and community-owned financial infrastructure, without relying on conventional banks, interest-based products, or centralized platforms that control access to their funds.

### Why it exists

Traditional financial systems are becoming harder to trust. Banks can block access to funds, charge fees for basic access, profit from interest, and make decisions over money that belongs to their customers.

At the same time, most crypto and DeFi tools are still too complex for everyday people to use confidently.

The LifeDAO exists to bridge that gap. It gives members a simpler way to access self-custody, Shariah-compliant financial tools, and community-based support in one ecosystem.
