At The LifeDAO, we have a list of medical preconditions that prevent some individuals from joining. This isn’t a decision we take lightly, we do it to protect the fairness and sustainability of the program for all our members. Allowing individuals with high-risk conditions could significantly increase the financial risk for the group, making it harder for us to deliver on our promise of mutual assurance. By setting these guidelines, we ensure that The LifeDAO remains equitable and reliable for everyone involved.

What are pre-existing conditions?

A pre-existing condition is any illness, disease, or condition that showed symptoms or required advice or treatment from a doctor, naturopath, or similar practitioner in the 12 months before signing up.

If you have a pre-existing condition listed below, you won’t be able to join to keep things fair and sustainable for everyone in The LifeDAO.

Which pre-conditions keep me from joining TLD?

Cancer

What it is: A condition where cells in the body grow uncontrollably, forming lumps or spreading to other areas. Symptoms may include unusual lumps, unexplained weight loss, fatigue, pain, or changes in the skin. Which types are excluded from TLD:

Endocrine Disorders / Diseases
