# Life Protection

### Protecting more than your money

Building financial security is not only about what you save, spend, or invest. It is also about making sure the people who depend on you have support if you are no longer there to provide for them.

The Life Protection Benefit is The Lifedao's community-based alternative to conventional life insurance. It gives eligible members access to financial protection for their loved ones as part of their Lifedao membership.

Rather than transferring risk to an insurance company, members support one another through a shared community fund. If an eligible member passes away, financial support may be provided to their nominated beneficiaries, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.

The Life Protection Benefit is based on the Islamic principles of mutual assistance and voluntary contribution.

This means members contribute towards a shared system created to support families during difficult moments, instead of participating in a conventional interest-based insurance model.
