What does a Referrer do?
Referrers are TLD members who share their unique referral codes—either as links or QR codes—with friends, family, and communities to help them join the LifeDAO.
Who can be a referrer?
Anyone who’s a TLD member can be a referrer! To qualify as a TLD member, you just need to be in a non-restricted area, be between 18 and 60 years old, and have no pre-existing medical conditions. Once you’ve completed the sign-up, made your membership contribution, and done your KYC, you’re officially a TLD member and ready to start referring!
How much do I get when I refer someone?
Let's say Barbara joins The LifeDAO using Ahmed's referral code—Ahmed scores a 4% USDC bonus right from Barbara’s membership (Layer 1). Now, if Barbara refers her cousin Charlie, Ahmed keeps racking up rewards across layers for each new member. How much? Well, that depends on the contribution level of each new joiner: the bigger their membership contribution, the more points and perks Ahmed, Barbara, and Charlie all earn.
Here’s how the rewards stack up based on the membership contributions:
Layer 1: Ahmed gets 4% of the membership contribution for direct referrals (Barbara joins via Ahmed).
Layer 2: 1% for referrals made by Barbara and her direct connections (Charlie joins via Barbara).
Layer 3: 0.35% for third-level referrals (Doris joins via Charlie).
Layer 4: 0.175% for fourth-level referrals (Eric joins via Doris).
Each referral layer means more rewards, so everyone’s efforts keep adding value for the whole crew!
Is there a cap on how much I can earn through referral bonuses?
Nope! The more people you refer, the more USDC you earn! There's no limit to how many people you can refer, and you'll get rewards up to 4 layers deep from everyone they refer too!
Do referral bonuses go on forever?
Nope, referral bonuses are a one time thing, so you don't get the bonus beyond the first year of someone's membership.
What’s the benefit for the person I refer?
Anyone you refer gets a 5% discount when they join through your referral link — an easy win for them!
Where will I be able to track my progress?
You can track your referrals and earned USDC right from your TLD dashboard. Just log in using the credentials you registered with, and you’ll see everything there!
How do I get the USDC?
The best part? You don’t have to lift a finger! Your USDC bonus is automatically sent to the wallet you connected when you registered with TLD.
Who pays the referral fees ?
TLD has a pool set aside just for referral fees. If that pool runs low, Takadao will step in and forgo part of its protocol fees to cover the difference. The discount your referral gets is directly deducted from Takadao’s Technology License fees.
Who will pay for the gas fees to transfer my USDC rewards to my wallet?
Don’t worry, gas fees are just a few cents and will be automatically deducted from your bonus, so you don’t need to do anything.
What does 'pre-join' mean?
'Pre-join' is an early opportunity to become one of the first TLD members at a discounted rate before the official launch of The LifeDAO; i.e. before the protection coverage actually begins and payouts can be made.
