HoW stakeholders - Contributors

Contributors

‘Contributor’ is a term that is used in the Web3 ecosystem, specifically when it comes to DAOs. Generally, a contributor is a person, a collective of individuals, or entities who take on different roles in the DAO.

In the context of House of Wisdao, Contributors are individuals with visionary insights who will compose our leadership team. They'll actively contribute to essential aspects of the DAO, such as community discussion and endorsing project proposals that may result in grants if approved by the DAO.

  • Rights

Contributors will have the right to raise and entertain proposals for possible grant receiving projects. They will also be eligible to vote in various DAO functions.

  • Privileges

Privilege of being a Thought Leader and provide utility for NFT projects. Raising proposals and lobbying for the projects that they believe will be impactful.

  • Responsibilities

Contributors are required to participate in project and community engagement activities, promote the joint projects, be open to feedback and maintain a growth mindset. And at all times maintain an impeccable level of ethics and principles.

Selection & Withdrawal

Contributors are currently selected by the development community (Takalabs and Takadao in the original iteration of HoW). This selection process includes:

  • Identification - At this stage of the process the DAO community will identify the individuals/institutions that they would like to be associated with on the DAOs next project. The appropriate DAO agents will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

  • Assessment - This includes the specifications as laid out in Appendix 4.

  • Orientation - Finer details including the following will be discussed and agreed upon:

= Input into the ideation and creation of NFT projects.

= Input & participation into the promotion of a relevant NFT project.

= How they will be the conduit for their community proposals (Grant funding only. Commercial proposals will be community NFT ownership related & use the same governance process as illustrated in Appendix 1).

= How they will be leading adoption amongst their community by understanding the mechanics behind the minting of HoW NFTs. They will do this by engagement on social media and Discord.

  • Agreements - Terms of relationship agreed upon in writing and interactions scheduled in advance with accommodation for ad hoc eventualities. Disputes to be settled using internal dispute resolution mechanisms.

In its current iteration, the DAO contributors deemed to no longer meet DAO assessment criteria will be required to relinquish their positions and rights as contributors. This will result from deactivation of the NFTs they held in the role of contributor.

As the DAO advances in time, the DAO community will have increasing input into the hiring and removal of contributors through a democratic, fair and transparent process. This involves raising of proposals from within the DAO community and the community voting on appropriate choices as illustrated in Appendix 1
